my daughter is trying to find out if her husband and herself can adopt her son with out the real fathers consent, he has been in prison for sex effences on a child, she did not know she was pregant till the trail. but she is now married and happy and they want to adopt her son.

Hi Annie,
The first things to check out are a good family solicitor to the legal stuff and it would also might be worth talking to the Child Protection section of your local Social Services because they may want to get involved by doing checks on the natural father's background and his offences against children.
