Hi,
Is there anyone out there who knows what it is like to be away from family & friends, and has to start over in a foreign country, foreign language, alien mentality ALL ALONE? I thought I would see the light at the end of the tunnel, but after 12 years of battling my way thru, I'm now struggling even more with my now 12-year old pre-teen. It's torture! HELP! HELP! HELP!... Answer me, guide me, hope you care!

hang in there, I am far away from home too. Not as far but still away from family and friends, I miss them alot and I hope to see them in the summer.

I read and do different activities like rollerskating, volleyball or just play with cars at home with my son, with my daughter...she is a teenager, we just chat and laugh about silly stuff.
it keeps my mind off of alot of things...you know how that crazy brain can make you go insane sometimes... Smiler
take care, and email back.

Hi, I live in a foreign country for 13 years now. It take time to adjust but it gets better when you make some friends. It takes time to make the good ones but even casual friends will do at first.
I hope you chose to go to another country and that you have realisting expectations. I did, and never regretted it despite of difficulties that will arise sometime. My ant emigrated to Canada years ago and she used to write in her letter 'living overseas does not guaranty paradise. I don't live in the forest but amongst people, so I can expect problem sometimes.
Just cheer up and think about bad stuff from 'home' you are not missing.
