Does anyone have any experience with someone being diagnosed as bipolar getting custody of children? I haven't found much info online...

I was diagnosed about 6 years ago and have retained custody of my children. I came close to losing them at one point because I just wouldn't take my meds and ended up in and out of psych hospitals but since I've been compliant with all my meds and my doctor's appointments, I haven't had any problems. My BPD is in the moderate range so I have no clue as to what happens with people who's BPD manifests more severe than mine.
