Does anyone know the rules for visitation for an infant when the non-custodial parent moves out of state (2000 miles away)? We are in the process of divorce, he has only been involved for two months of her life, and now he is living in a two bedroom apt with three other adults, three kids and holes in the outside walls. He has drank and drove with her, ignored her, yelled at her for crying and not been very involved while he was here. He is asking for a month every three months in Washington away from everything she has known and had. He left when she was three weeks old and authorized me to move here with my family. He came here for two months because he got into trouble at work (to let things blow over with his new girlfriend-whom is a violation of company policy) and now she is paying back his relocation costs. Any one with any experience in this field? I am not denying him access and when he was going to be here we would have had the standard arrangement plus special family holiday visitation. I just can't imagine sending an infant that far for that long when he just left her here. Thanks in advance,

These are merely suggestions as stated in the disclaimer. I used Illinois since I don't know which part of the midwest you are in. Is Illinois close?
