I am New to SFV

I asked similar questions in another page but I just realized this is specifically for custody/visitation! I'm new to this website and don't know who reads what so I apologize if some of you are reading this twice...I'm just trying to figure things out and want to hear all the opinions I can...

I'm interested in what other peoples visitation / custody situations are with a parent that lives out of state - specifically involving an infant..

the basic story is that I left my ex-boyfriend b/c he is an alcoholic and drug user (I am not - he just kept promising those issues had gone away and naive as I am, I believed him) anyway, I moved 1500 miles away before my daughter was born. He visited for less than 48 hours when she was born and we haven't seen him since. He is now trying for custody/visitation/etc...

What can I expect the courts to grant him? He's probably going to push for everything but she's only 6.5 months old...what is reasonable? and esp with his history of drugs/alcohol?

Has anyone had a similar circumstance? what has the judge ruled for you?

Thanks to anyone...
