I am a single mom of 1 girl. She has been with me since her father and I divorced 5 yrs ago. He has been an 'active' weekend dad. I have my disagreements with him (still) on his involvement and 'right to comment' on everyday life- but cannot argue that he pays his child support on time, and does fun things with her on the weekend. (Which seems to be a challenge for many people- so I am thankful.)

Now for the interesting parts:

I am looking to move approx 300 mi away.

What has been your experience with moving away from a fairly involved parent. (By fairly involved- I mean weekly weekend visitations and holidays.)

What can I possibly expect from going back to court to change the parenting plan and eventually move?

And I am not just looking for good news either... if you attempted this and it didn't work, I want to hear that too.
