"Moderator Proud father/grandfather" SFV JUNKIE!!! |
Welcome to the forum.
Sorry to hear what's going on, I know it's frustrating for you. You are going to need to gather up some patience to deal with this, but it will get worked out one way or the other. As for the restraining order, I don't know why she's doing that. Normally it's because someone is afraid of someone else, however she could also make things up and at least get a temp restraining order. Then a court date will be set to determine if there are any real grounds for making it a permanent restraining order. If she does get the temp order all you can do is abide by it and have your say at the hearing with the judge. As for paternity, since you weren't married there's also not much you can do right now about visitation until paternity is established. You can file for visitation if you want and during that process you can/will need to prove paternity with a DNA test. As long as the baby is really yours you will then have rights to visitation whether she likes it or not.....and as long as there is nothing legitimate about the restraining order and it doesn't become permanent. Plus of course you will be paying child support as well. As I said, it sounds like you will be getting frustrated while this is working itself out, feel free to hang out here and keep posting/venting the frustration and in due time it will get worked out. |
