My ex has decided that even though new years is his holiday he only wants her for few hours so I would have to find a babysitter for New year's eve. I informed him that it was his place to find a sitter if he choices to go out New year's eve. He was all huffy with me saying that it was not fair because he had to now juggle all the kids schedules so they are not around each other.

Not my problem! He chose to pick a mistress who has an extensive history with CPS and agreed to the no contact order.

I am just so pissed that he does this every holiday there is an overnight. Especially when I was finally looking forward to spending time with friends on New Year's eve. Now I do not think I can find a babysitter this short notice.

I love that.

My ex does the same thing - when he has something planned, he simply "returns" her to me early, or explains that he cannot take her, because he "has things he has to do."

When I have something planned, I either have to take her with me (so fun having a 4-year-old hanging out when you're getting your yearly pap smear) or pay a babysitter. He is so out of touch with what being a parent is. For him, he gets to choose to parent when it's convenient for him.

Well, I would be saying next year for new year's eve...sorry I have plans with our daughter.

And hopefully by then, you will have found a really good lookin man who would love to celebrate new years with you and your daughter. Then should he complain, simply explain that he was not able to keep his committments the last year, so you took it in your own hands. Bad Day
