i know exactly what you mean. i drop off my daughter to see her father every sunday and see him when i pick her up to. In the beginning it was very difficult, every sunday i would mope around until we had to go, she is only 2 so i cant sit her down and explain it. it does get easier just slowly. Everytime i see him our relationship and everything comes pouring back and I feel sooo lost when she isnt home with me. When she is with me i dread her leaving and when she is gone, i miss her so much. I have this crazy hope that it will get easier. But i have learned that while she is gone it is okay to relax, and spend some you time. makes you a better parent. Hope i helped!

I know how you feel...my son is now 13 and still I mope around on weekends looking for things to do.

Now that I moved, the father gets him on weekends which upsets me a little because there are so many events I used to take him to. I miss just going out with him on the market and going to outdoor concerts and stuff. Hopefully this summer his father will take him 2 days during the week instead cause I find weekends very long.

Writing a guide for personal change, fullment and discovery for children with dead beat parents. If you as a parent, or the child have a story to share, would love to include it.
