Today was a strange day because of all the right reasons.
It was the first day at School for my 3 year old.She attends nursery(kindergarden) in the afternoons and today was her first day.I know it sounds strange coming from a Man.But I didn't realise how Maternal I was until this afternoon, taking her into class and walking home on my own without my little chatterbox next to me for the first time in 3 years.I didn't realise how hard it would be.Because I usually walk all my 3 girls to school in the morning and drop off the 5 and 6 year olds and have the little one with me the rest of the day.But today when I got back from school the house was silent.I all of a sudden, I felt very lonely to the extent I had to put the childrens channels on the TV just to provide the noise Iam used to.But the highlight was when I returned to School to collect her was the huge beaming smile and the hug that came with it.It amazes me how independent she has become over the last few months and to see her playing with her new friends in class for the first time was almost overwhelming.

Hi mark, I can relate to what you are saying. my youngest is 2 years old and she seems to be growing at an amazing rate and non stop chattering ALL day !! My oldest is 14 years old so she is also at the age of non stop talking!

Recently they went out with my mum to give me a break and I couldn't relax it was just to damn quite!!! It can also feel very lonely somtimes when they are in bed and the house is still.

Glad to see that I am not the only single dad with girls in the uk Cool

Hey Mark, Hang in there buddy. There'll be a while before summer gets here again, hahaha. Seriously though, sounds like she is having a good time at school, that's a good thing.
Take care
Don
