Hey Bin...We go camping in Connecticut...Strawberry Park!! It is awesome!! We have been going there since I was a teenager(we were seasonal then)...then stopped for some years then started again with our kids last year! We have tents now instead of the trailer we had as kids, but this year it was My 78 yr old Dad, Myself & My two kids, and two older brothers , a three year old niece & 9yr old nephew for the WHOLE week....At one point 5 of the 6 brothers, my Mom & my dog were all there!! It was FANTASTIC!! We had two sites side by side with Three huge tents & two smaller ones along with two dining tents!! The place has activities going all day & the kids had a BLAST!! I'll try to add a link if anyone wants to check it out!! Great place!!

Didja ever camp at White Lakes in New Hampshire? It's right off 16 in Ossipee. State park, but the sites are nice and there's a nice clay and sand bottom lake there, nice beach and so forth. My family congregates there once a summer, tent city like your gathering. You oughta try the place; close to the Whites, lotsa wildlife and so forth.

I love that kind of camping the best Bin!! We used to go to a place up by the Swift river (I forget the name) when we were kids and I LOVED swimming in the river & climbing the rocks!! It sounds like your family loves this stuff too!! My Dad was a principal in Boston & when he was out for the summer we'd take off in the trailer for the WHOLE SUMMER!! He is a huge history buff & we'd tour every battlefield you could imagine!! Deffinately made history class so much fun!! It is pretty surreal getting to do these things with HIM as well as my own kids!! This trip to Wasington DC we would do a couple times a year in the camper & stay at Greenbelt state park...when my brother was at The Naval Academy...so this trip this week will be pretty special too!!

The Swift is the river that runs next to the Kancamagus, I think. Great area for camping, maybe you stayed in Passaconaway or Jigger Johnson campgrounds.
And strangely enough, I was in Greenbelt earlier this year. Nice campground, watch for ticks and chiggers though. Murderous.

Is that in the White Mountains, Bin? Parker's dad was born in Exeter, New Hampshire and him and his mom always talked about going to the White Mountains. He also talks about storyland-an amusement park. Maybe someday, he will straighten out and take Parker on a trip there--unfortunately, I think Parker may be of driving age before that happens!

Yeah, White Lakes is just south of the White's. I've been to Storyland too, it's a great place for the littles, we took my guys there when they were that age. Get's old for adults REAL fast but they love it.
