every time i go somewhere with my son people stop and say oh how cute and what not because he is still a baby... anyway, whenever i meet someone new, male or female, young or old, they will strike up convo and not too far into it , i am ALWAYS asked where daddy is??? how do they know daddy isn't in the pic, why suddenly ask that out of the blue, are they judging me... can't daddy be in the car or at home??? it doesn't bother me too much but still what is up with that

Burst into tears and tell them he died yesterday. That will teach 'em Wink Honestly though, I ignore rude questions like this completely. It's nobody's business and i'm not obligated to answer.

At least being a woman, they acknowledge that the child is yours. Whenever I go places with friends, the girl in the group gets told all the time how cute her son is....HELL NO PEOPLE HE IS MINE!!! I get so damn aggravated by that. When I am out and about on my own, I get no comments, no nothing. I just figure I look like an ogre that is going to bite off peoples heads, hell I dunno. But at least people acknowledge that it is your child. Be thankful for that.

I have to plan for extra hour that the grocery because everyone stops to look at the baby. I still have my engagement ring for my ex. sometimes I wear it and sometimes I don't. People normally don't ask about the daddy, or maybe its because in we live in a military area. its not someone business. I agree give them a stupid answer. Just have fun with it.

that is the best, i say best ever. i would never be that quick..... yes, bust into tears and say he died. people know, when they meet me that i am alone because i am so strong and speak way to much of what is on my mind, which by the way i am trying to teach myself to SHUT UP. but really, it is no ones business, you couls also say, he is special forces in iraq and you dont know if you will ever see him again, he is not allowed to call because his work is on top level security and your son has never been able to meet him.....wow, i did good, i dont know how i came up with that but it works.

My old chemistry teacher from high school claimed to be a Navy Seal and would tell us stories of his "top secret" missions. He always claimed that they were only classified as top secret for 15 years and after that he was able to discuss them...Funny thing is, he was a fat oaf that I am POSITIVE could not even run a mile....hmmm

Ok this is by far the funniest thing I've come across in here.

When I'm asked questions about my youngest's father I just say "Who cares?"

I think I've been inspired here though. I'm thinking something along the lines, "omg have you seen him?! Is he here!!!??? I thought we were safe here dammit!!!!"
