I am New to SFV |
Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do with my son? He will be 6 months old tomorrow and I would like to find things that we can do together that is not just playing on the floor in the condo. I am in the Orlando area and I know there is tons to do but I just can't think of things age appropriate for him.
What do you think? Any suggestions? |

A nice walk in a petting zoo would be great. Babies love to look at animals and being in a petting zoo will allow him to have contact with the animals if he wishes. Big zoos can be boring for little ones since the animals are so far away. Maybe a tiny little ice cream cone. Fun for baby and great photo op for mom....lol.
My blue-eyed babies Courage isn't the absense of fear but the willingness to act in the face of fear. |

Seriously, I used to take my daughter to the pet store for a free "field trip." You get to see, hear, touch, and even smell birds, fish, kitties, puppies, and creepy things like lizards and spiders.

I always take Ian to the mall where they have train rides for kids or he can ride on some small carousel (with me of course). Or I take him with me while I go for an early morning brisk walk. I either carry him on a carrier or I put him on his stroller. I think at this age, babies are very receptive to their surroundings and showing them around allows them helps in the developmental stage. Enjoy your time with kaden!

Learning to Surf The Board |
Infant swimming lessons! "Mommy and me" They start as early as 2 months old. I can't wait to start my son (He's 1 month now).. But I did it when I was young - I am quite the fish hahaha... My mother started me at 3 months because she was on a swimming team through her educational years. It's fun, they get used to the water - and by 12 months, you won't have to worry about them near a pool - They'll learn how to swim, then float to catch their breath, than swim to the side of the pool --- or if they can't get out the side, just float and cry until help arrives.... It's a wonderful thing!

the park, its a sensory experiance for them, even feeling the grass for the first time. Trees in the wind, people moving. you can see the wonder in their eyes.
Never take someone for granted. Hold every person close to your heart because you might wake up one day and realize that you've lost a diamond while you were too busy collecting stones... |

have you ever thought about stamping your babies feet (with paint) onto blank note cards? you can send them as thank you notes in the future - and then you have a permanent memory of when kayley was tiny! i got the idea from the baby section on ParentsConnect -
