I just had my sons bday party there..We had it there last year too,he really liked it,but as others have said, some kids may be afraid of chucke, isaac is and he is 6..
You can go online and book a party chuckecheese.com It is like,9.99 per kid,,They get like 20 tokens and pizza,u have a table for an hour and a half, birthday cake, and better yet,you dont have to clean the mess!!
It is a good place, kids can run aroud and they stamp your hand as you go in,so it is very unlikely that your kids will leave with anyone except yourself,a saftey precaution they have..
So,give it a try...

Good luck!!

I think I'm in the minority here, but I can't stand the place. All the noise, chaos, flashing lights, giant dancing mouse with ear-grating high-pitched music...ARRGGGHH!! It was loud, dirty, some kid peed in the climbing tunnels, etc.

My last experience was a couple years ago and after gritting my teeth and making it through a couple hours, the attendant checked my son's stamp as we were leaving. Apparently it had washed off when I washed his hands. She just shrugged her shoulders and told me, "don't worry about it, just go ahead and take him." And by the way, my son looks NOTHING like me. I could have been anyone walking out with a child that didn't belong to me.

I would love to have another kiddo, but after an hour or so at Chuck E Cheese, I decided that if I was a doctor I could make a killing by setting up a clinic providing quick, low-cost vasectomies and tubal ligations in the Chuck E Cheese parking lot. LOL

Last Chuckie Cheese experience.....watched an infant throw up (not spit up) all over the table next to us. Watched the infant's Dad puke all over himself over the infant puking. They went to clean up .....and stayed for another 2 hours.

After we switched tables...I began my migraine and wished that I wasn't the only one to drive (they do serve beer at Chuckie Cheese...if you get a DD and don't over do it around the kids Big Grin ) Next day, my son had a stomach flu...he was about 5 weeks old at the time, and my daughter had montezuma's revenge.

I will never go into another Chuckie Cheese for as long as I live.

God, I am so with those of you who says Chuckie's is hell! I went once with my son when I moved to NC (we don't have them where I'm from!) and I will NEVER go back! I'd rather take him to the arcade at the mall for 20 minutes. That makes him just as happy and we can eat pizza in the food court. Chuck E. Cheese's is the worst place I've ever been. ACK!

That said, I do think all kids love being there. Although its total overstimulation. My 3 year old walked around like a zombie and I wanted to pull my hair out!

More power to you all if you can enjoy the experience!!

I had Ty's 4th birthday party at the one here in Orlando and we went to a little girl's party there last year. I think the pizza is disgusting and the place is just too loud. All the kids had a blast and it was nice not to have to worry about them not wandering out of the place w/someone else or alone. I personally try to avoid the place at all cost, but I can see the reason kids love it. I mean, come on. Do you really want to eat at a place where the mascot is a giant rat?

Has anyone ever been to Dinorex?? I had Alexis's b.day there the last 2 years. It's a mini amusement park inside. 10.00/kid and it includes the food, tokens and unlimited rides, cake and a party host for 2 hours and they do all the clean-up!!. He birthday is on the 4th of July so I usually have it the day or 2 before when it's not as crowded.

lol wow, such experiences. If I had something like that happen, I wouldn't ever want to go back either. I just have had good experiences, and I am there wanting to play the games right along with the kiddos. The only bad thing that happened the last time we went, there was this man who was playing a Star Wars game for like 30/45 mins. He wouldn't get off it of and there was a line of kids waiting to play. He kept trying to grab his son to have him play with him but he kept wanting down. That really pissed me off, cause the place is for kids and you shouldn't take over a game. But other then that, I haven't had to experience any throwing up or such.

Well, a lot of that has to do with the way video games are now. They usually have a story line that you have to put around $10 in to complete, so hopping off isn't quite as simple as giving the next person in line a turn. It's more like giving up whatever money you've already invested in the thing and starting over...

Anyway, I understand why you're annoyed by this...it is unfair to the people waiting, specifically when it's in a place like chuck-e-cheese where the target customer is very young. I hope that I gave you a little different perspective on the people who monopolize games in arcades, however...

I did one birthday party at CEC 3 years ago...it was alright, but my son doesn't really like the place anymore. CEC is good for kids that are young enough to appreciate the play center and robot band and stuff, but it's pretty weak as far as the arcade goes. We had our party last year at a local arcade that was much better...3 floors with 200 games...not as much of a problem with lines there...

...and, coincidentally, we had his birthday party for this year earlier today...it was at a movie theater/restaraunt where the kids were served pizza, popcorn, and cake while watching the spongebob movie. It was cool, but the pizza was disgusting...I mean, CEC has some disgusting pizza, but this topped it easily...

Later,
Bobby

Good perspective Bobby. I didn't think about the investment, which is very true, with games going from one level to a next and not just simply ending. I was just annoyed, with it being a children's place and him being a grown man. But enough of that, sounds like an arcade would be a fun place. Especially with 4 floors. The movie sounds like a fun idea as well. We have one movie theater over my way that has tables and pizza with the movies, but they also serve beer, and that wouldn't work with me. I'm sure the pizza isn't good either though. I bet the kids enjoyed that though, spongebob and pizza. Thanks for your thoughts.

CHUCK E CHEESE..........WELL I'M A MANAGER AT A CHUCK E CHEESE IN LOUISIANA. I FIND PRIZES ARE EXPENSIVE BUT U CAN WORK AROUND IT. OUR PARTY PACKAGES ARE NOT THAT BAD AND DO DO NOTHING BUT SIT BACK AND RELAX. I REFUSE TO BRING MY KIDS THERE MOST OF THE TIME THEY ASK. IF U WORK IN A PLACE LIKE THAT U DON'T WANT TO GO WHEN U R NOT WORKING.

I have to say that I am sorry but love CEC. My son has still not learned the expensive wonders of the typical arcade games so he still enjoys the ones there. I think you get much more playing time for your money than the older kids arcade. I also like that you can actually see what's in front of you. Most arcades are so dark and I do nothing but panic that someone's going to take off with him. I always seem to find some games that hold my interest too. The other arcades are full of older teens as well and some shady characters. The last thing I need is to take him to the arcade and have him come home hooked on smack.

I have somehow managed the pleasure of not entering a CEC since I was.... I think about 11 or 12 for my friend's little brother's bday party LOL! I can't say I love or hate it, but have enjoyed the avoidance of it. My ex seems to like to go and they come home with all sorts of crap I can't fit into my cabinets.... (pony cups and other sippy cups --- which we do not use here and haven't in years). So, I live in my little non-CEC bliss for the meantime, until they find me out or I cave. I think I have another month to full year at least!
