At A loss for Words - NOT!
Posted
Hey, Hey!

I'm having my son's sixth birthday party this weekend. We're having the party in the town we used to live in. My family (sisters, brother, parents, nieces, and nephews) and my son's dad + gf and children, plus his friends from his old daycare will be there.

Anyway - I need game suggestions! The party is going to be at a park so I'm thinking of maybe a scavenger hunt but don't know of any other games.

This is going to be a great time. Will be the first time my son has seen many friends from daycare in a few weeks. And, the first time we've had a party with more than family.

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!!

I always had parties for my son when he was younger.Games were always the hardest part of the planning for me too.I always had a pinata(probably spelled wrong)you put candy and toys in it and they bust it to pieces, always a winner.Musical chairs was always good too.My sons birthday is in January so we always have his party indoors,I would love to be able to have one at the park. With nice weather you could have water guns for everyone or something like that.I hope this helped some and that your party turns out great.HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR SON!!!! :bdcake:

parties!!! I LOVE em!!! Sometimes I go a bit overboard...but what the hay Smiler I always find it best to pick a theme and build your party around that...say if he likes sponge bob (or his favorite super hero) get a tablecloth and matching plates/cups/napkins wrapping paper etc. with that character on it. You can even find the pinata to match most of those themes. Since you are outside water baloon or egg tosses are always a hit. Pass out cheap little water guns and let them at each other. Bobbing for apples.... there are all sorts of things. I also found looking up things online were helpful, google "birthday party ideas for a 6 year old boy" you will be amazed!

Have fun!
