I know we have our share of squabbles, etc around here but I think we should also take note of the positive that goes on here on a daily basis that sometimes gets overlooked.

We have had quite a few extremely controversial topics in the past weeks and I must say I'm 100% absolutely positively thoroughly impressed with the manner in which they have been handled. So heck Kudos to All of us. I love that we can talk openly about topics we do not agree on as I feel that is the only way to learn in life. Being able to listen to opposing viewpoints and sit with them in regards to our own and discuss them well, no better way to grow ourselves into better humans, don't you think?

I am usually in the dark about the squabbles but, for the controversial issues... we handle them well. Opposing view points are always welcome. After all it is what makes the world go round and what makes most of the people and the countries of today's world great. Everyone has an opinion. Posting it on a open forum opens it up to debate.... debate away. I am happy I can most of the time see the both sides of the coin.

Yes, I would say that we have done well w/the topics that have been posted. So a HUGE pat on the back for all of us!

This place has definitely become like a little town, like a place to live in. And I agree, it's a great place we live in, isn't it, with great people. And the fact that people have differring opinions and state them only makes it more real. Then, it's a challenge everytime isn't it, to agree that others have completely different opinions and that we must at least listen, in the name of tolerance, and be careful in our answers when we disagree.
So, yes, great job everyone.(mho )

Debating subjects have made me more aware that there is more than one way to look at an issue. Like Sue said, it helps us grow. Sometimes I actually sit back and say, "Wow, I never looked at it THAT way. And sometimes, it's made me look over my thoughts on certain issues. Looking at an issue from all different perspectives, helps me to form a better opinion about a topic before I post on it.

I have to add that everyone here has thier strong oppions and they have made me think more clearly about my problems I've had in the past. Please keep the honesty coming SFVs way. Pooker you're right I've had the same thought.
