Hello Stephanie and welcome to SFV! Can you feel the baby move yet? I think it was around 12 wks that I could feel these little flutters when my son moved. But it seems like it was forever ago, my son is now 6 yrs old and hard to imagine him being in my belly! Enjoy this time!

I'm 24 and live in the Grand Rapids area. I don't really know of any single moms support groups in MI but there a few other moms from MI on here.

Haha no I haven't felt the baby move, but I cannot wait until I can! Sometimes I Think maybe I am, but then I think that it's probably just that i'm hungry! How have you made it work on your own? Had it been tough financially?

The movement of Kai is the one thing I miss about being pregnant. I certainly don't miss being sick or backaches. Unfortunately, I have this weird tummy now. But I'm working on it.

I live in Northern Michigan and I do not know much about any single parent groups or anything. That's why I'm on here :grouphug: Being a single parents has it's ups and downs, and in my case more ups than downs. I got lucky.

I can't wait until the fun stuff comes...I get to hear the baby's heartbeat for the first time in a week

I have two videos of Kai before she was born, unfortunately her dad has the third one. I dont want to stir waves by asking for it back. I may ask a member of his family to get it if they can but more than likely he'll be a jerk about it. Anyway, it's so cool to see and hear them when they are inside. Reality didn't set in for me until I felt her move. It was so cool, then later it got to be that she kicked me everytime I tried to sleep and in the last month I didn't sleep much. But let me tell yah, it's worth it.

Hello and welcome, I'm also new to this forum and new to the Lansing area (Haslett). My daughter and I recently moved here from Zeeland, MI.

From the Port Huron area also... Check with some of your local Churches they may have some great single parent groups... I dont know what I would do without my support from my single parent friends from the local church They are great!!!!
