At A loss for Words - NOT!
Posted
Okay so for a while now I have done many searches, and tried so many ways to find my ex. I can't afford a private investigator, figured one day when I have money I'd hire one, but until I'm searching on my own. And well since I am not one to talk to anyone about him, no one else is looking just me. I'm wanting to know if anyone knows of any public listings, or ways to get any information on ex cons. My ex was in a pre release prison, I know when he got released and I know the place he was at. I don't know where he was before, since he had to have been somewhere before to get sent to the pre-release one. But I've been searching figuring that is one of the ways I might come across in information on him that could possibly help me find him.
So for anyone who knows anything about prisons, parole, pre-release places and such, do you know of any web sites, any places to search that might have information? I know it's a long shot but I figure it's time I start looking harder and seeing if anyone else knows of resources I don't know about.

Thanks in advance to anyone with any advice, or suggestions. (also I didn't spell check this so pay no attention to my bad spelling.)

Okay so of course since I ask for help and all that jazz. I have come across some state web sites that can possibly give me the information I need. Found some government live chat where I talked with some lady gave her some info and she gave me a web site. Looks like infomation on parolee's location and such is open to the public. It says to email or you can call the telephone request line, but I can't call cause well I get all teary and un-nerved when it comes to this and I can't think straight. However I'm going to type up an email and wait. It says it can take up to six weeks to receive a response due to a high volume of emails received. I don't know what all they will give out. But I could possibly track him down and well it's just making me feel like throwing up. lol Just wanted to share this, I don't really have anyone but the great people of SFV to confide these things in. My mom doesn't want me to find him and we completely disagree on the issue. So I'm not even going to share that I'm searching again. Okay I'll quit my ramblings.

There's a lot of information on this site, but they help I got came from clicking the Live Help - Web Chat link. The person on the other end was very professional and nice and gave me the link to the site I needed for my state.

Good Luck!

Okay so I wrote to them and I already got a respond today. They just wanted to know if I had any more information. They said they had several people with the same name and I don't have a middle name, birth date or social, so I'm not sure if they can narrow it down for me or not. I gave them all I had on where he was and when he was released, what school he went to, tattoos, mother's name, age, and such. I'm not sure how much longer this one will take but at least I know they got the process started. It had said it could take up to 6 weeks. Hopefully I won't get a quick responce saying we can't help you. keep your fingers crossed for me. Maybe I can get some more info on him.

Hi Gabe"s Mom! When I read your first post I thought you were looking for the guy due to child support...but when I saw that you were still very emotional over him, and that your mom disapproved..I assume you miss him and don't want to end it just yet?
Sorry if I am wrong, but I hate to see anyone get hurt. Does he know how to contavt you? In any case, you can go on any state or federal prison website to find prisoners, even prisoners that have been out like a year I think. I think they all have pics of the inmates too-at least fed prison does.
If you have an idea of where the halfway house is that he has to stay at (which they usually do for awhile until they can prove they can keep a job and be straight) you can always ask around and see if anyone knows him.
But, that's a lot to go through for someone. I hate to rain on your parade-but are you sure you want to find this guy? I don't know the whole story about your situation-but like I said-I hate to see anyone-male or female-get hurt or stay in a bad relationship. (Been there, done that). So good luck and let us know what happens.
By the way-when you search on the state or federal prison websites-it is free. If you go to one that wants money-your in the wrong place!

Hi Azsteelerfan! Actually I don't have feelings for him. Don't want anything with him at all romantic wise. We never had much of a "relationship". When I met him I had just gotten my heart broken, the first and one of the few men I have ever loved didn't love me back. I was in pain and he had just been released from prison and we basically used each other for "pain relief". I found him extremely attractive and threw caution to the wind. We had a class together and it was well convenient. The more I got to know him the more annoying I found him. The only reason I want to track him down is for Gabe's sake. I don't necessarily want to contact him but if I can find his location, or get more information on him that would help in the future. I figure if Gabe wants to find him in the future, I want to be able to help him. If I do find his location I'm not sure if I would contact him or not. I'm really afraid of opening that up. I am pretty sure he couldn't find me if he wanted. Since the last time we talked (4 years ago this summer), I have moved, 4 times and will be moving again here at the first of June. He should know my last name and I'm on myspace, facebook, and listed in the white pages. There is a lot of emotion with this but mainly because I'm terrified of making a wrong decision, I want the best for my son. But I'm afraid the more time that goes by the harder it will be to find him. Yeah I don't pay on any of those search web sites, I only use the free ones. Thanks for your input though.
