So I had court with the ex today and of course she was there. we had come to an agreement i had the parenting plan all typed out and everything well the judge i had is fairly new and i had heard bad things about him but i didn't realize what he would do. in mine and my ex's agreement we had talked about he said he would give me sole custody no arguement well i guess the judge didn't like that he read over what we gave him and then we had to testify. He grilled me for 45 minutes and asked my ex 2 questions. i felt like i was on trial. it was rediculous. the judge was a complete butthole. then after that he decided my ex would get joint custody. what the **** is that. i was so mad when i left the court house i could only see red. he made that his judgement. and then i get home and they start texting wanting me to put his name on the birth certificate which he has never asked for and now they are wanting to change my sons last name and i know if i go back to court i am going to lose if i get the same judge becuase he was very rude to me and mean but super nice to my ex.

Is your ex a good father or does he not deserve joint custody. Whom did they place physical custody with? If you do not feel he deserves joint custody, start documenting everything..every time he is late, does not take the kids on his arranged days..everything.. then you can go back to court and seek to have the custody changed. Sorry to hear it did not work out for you.

I just read this post, and as soon as I reply I am going to check out what other posts you have. Look up mine to see what happened in court. I swear its a new trend that judges are giving fathers a lot more in terms of custody. I KNOW some men are deserving, but I was shocked when it happened to me. I have joint custody of my daughter, but I lost a day with her. It used to be 50/50.
