My ex has not seen or spoken to his kids in 2 yrs his family has also been silent.I moved 7 months ego and not a peep from enyone from his family so the holidays are coming and I dont feel like I even owe them a card it seems to me like they could care less before I was always calling keeping in touch but one day I said to myself I cant make people care.My question is should I just write them off like they did to me?

It is not important what they do, if you act with honor, can you really do more? It would kill me to not see my girls for over a week even, I know, I have had to do it. No, you can't change them, but it maybe important, in the long run, for your girls to know that you did try. peace

There is a point where adults have to be allowed to be adults. I would say to write that last letter. The one that tells them how hard you have tried and how you no longer feel obligated. Let them know that they have your address and number and if they care to see or talk to the kids, it is now their responsibility. That puts the ball in their court.

Thank you Paul and Pita I have done the balls in your court and this is where we stand now,I think I have done my job I take care of my girls in every way they don't help in anyway (no money phone calls,no calls for their birthday,my ex and his family have no clue how to take responsibility for their actions.Honor I have done the most honorable thing enyone can do Im taking care of my children (they got nothing on me).
