Can someone tell me why they have a MS page?
is it a way to make friends, join a lonely hearts club?, further encourage rebellious teenagers to diss their parents? I'm 46 and think MS is mainly for youngster's  |

I have myspace. Like anything it is what you make of it, and there are a lot of old farts like me on it. My girls are on it too so I can see whats up with them also. I have friends there I have met on forums, and some I know in real life. There are creeps on it, but anything online has that, you simply have to weed them out.

samy there's a whole thread on here of folks giving their myspace page addresses out. i created one when i was doing hurricane relief stuff but have not really used it since. lurch sums it up perfectly. give it a try!

Well like I said, there are creeps on it. If everyone followed the age guide lines that wouldn't be a problem, but peds tend to break the law so why not lie about their age. The kids do it also, if you hit browse for 40-55 you will see under aged kids in there also. Its for us parent to watch out for that stuff. On MS you can set your profile to private, and let only people who want to add you that only have your name or email,

Myspace really shows the worst in some people or just the fake personas of others. There are plenty of good people there also.
I was talked in to getting a page by some friends that wanted to keep in touch that way. It's also a good way to find old friends. I did get a date out of nowhere within a week or two of signing up but that's not why I did. |

I started one when my daughter did to keep an eye on her. Turns out I had some fun making it my page. And the lady I'm seeing now I met through there, we talked for a while and decided to start dating.....it's been going well
 But yeah I have several family members on there, a good amount of SFV folks and a few others that I've met just by chance or like interests.    |

I did the same thing.... except the dating part. I can't seem to figure out why women on there ask me out .... seems like a generic blanket post because when I clicked on the woman's profile, she has a lot of messages that read "who are you?" LOL Tom is still ignoring my questions   |

There are a lot of spammers on there. They use that to get you to go to other sites where they sometimes get paid by how much traffic they drive there.
And Tom, he's a busy dude I guess. I heard that's not even him but.....I don't know. |

I thought of my Myspace page as sorta a virtual scrapbook. You can change decorate it for the holiday or for your mood....etc. It can be fun while it lasts!
