I have come across this site www.survivalistboards.com recently. The scary thing is there is a great percentage of this website that are under the age of 18 (as per a poll), and this site is teaching them how to set lethal traps, how to properly operate an automatic firearm, how to overthrow peoples homes, and more horrible stuff. Often times they even promote the idea of killing the police if they were to come to collect their illegal weapons. There is even a thread from a 14 year old boy, which states his mother saw him on the site and was concerned. He lied to her and told her it just teaches you import ways to be prepared like gardening and various other things (which it does do as well), and then started a thread on the site that explains what happened with his mother and asked for advice from the members. Most of the members supported him in misleading her. There is even mention of resources for making bombs on this site.

This day in age, with all the school age violence, these websites should not continue to operate. A teenager looking to carry out an attack at a school, for example, would find everything they need on this site. The owner is also very aware that this is occurring, as I have personally requested that he remove that material or I would have to take action. He did not remove it.

To sum it up, I dont really know what someone can do about this, if anything at all, but i am trying to get the word out so more parents can become aware of this situation and other situations like it. If all we can do is tell other responsible parents about this site, then that is what I will do.

Thanks for your help in stopping this.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with you on this.
While it may scare you, having a young person know how to handle a weapon properly sounds like a good thing to me.
As for stopping it you wont.
Some thing about the Constitution and the rights of free people. maybe you need to go back and read it.
Like Amendment 1
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press: or the right of the people peaceably to assemble...

It's sounds like to me that you want to stop this very thing. Why? who made you judge over us? who made you allknowing as to what is or is not ok to think or say?

Last time I checked this was a free country where anyone could think for themselfs, look things up and find out the facts as they see, without Big Brother looking over his/her shoulder.
If you had done you job in rasing them up right and had given them the trust and responable to think for them selfs, then why are you still babying them? You cann't stop them from growing up and being adults.

As for the part on the cops. Well maybe you haven't been on the other end of their BS, or haven't had to fight the system because the cops wouldn't do their job because you are the evil male.
Sorry I have no love of the police.

As for taking illegel weapons.
any law that has outlaw weapons is uncontitutional per Amendment 2, something in there about "Shall not be infringed"

Think about this. The more you try and stop someone from learning the more they will look.

Police use to be peace officers, now they are Law enforcement officers. And if the laws are so rightous, then why was slavery done away with?
It was law in the land and the police tried to enforce it.

was it right? We all know the answer to that.
So why are you trying to stop someone elses rights to free speach? Just because your scared of the truth.
