I am New to SFV |
I am new here and I am looking for some help. I am 22 and have a son that will be 2 in Aug, and his father and I are about to go through a divorce. I have been a SAHM since I got pregnant, and now I feel like I'm left with nothing. I don't have a job, money, and I wasn't able to finish school. I feel like my only option is to move in with my parents and I don't really want to. I am still living in our house with my husband and I can't stand it! It stresses me out more than anything, but I don't know where else to go. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks |

"I want back in the closet" Lively & Zealous Parent |
Hi, I am 23 with a son who will be 5 next month. For the past 5 years I have lived at my parents house so that I could get through college, I hated it but I felt it was best for me and my son. I have now finished school and am in the process of looking for a home to call our own. I guess what I'm saying is I recommand, if your parents will allow, to move in with your parents until you can get on your feet, wheather it be while you get some education or training or find a good paying job. I think its better than having a small apartment, and no money and not knowing what the future may hold.

Hi. I'm new here too. I have a 2 year old and a 6 month old. When I left my husband, I had no choice BUT to move in with my parents. I really didn't want to, but it was the best (and only) option. Now I am searching for an apartment to move into as I finally have all my ducks in a row.
You may need to do that. Remember, your little one can sense all of your stress, anger and hurt. It may be the best, for his/her sake, that you get out of that situation. If your parents are willing, move back home. Finish up school and make something of yourself for you and your little one. If you want to talk, I'd love to hear from you... sandie_y*hotmail.*** God bless you. |

"Professional Rubber At Your Service.... At A loss for Words - NOT! |
Hi, I'm Amy and I live in Fort Worth. I have a 3 month old son and live with my mom right now. She's helping me out until I finish school. I thought about not going back and trying to work and take care of him, but I know I'll be able to take better care of him with an education. Also, with me living with my mom, he won't have to go to day care or a sitters. I'm going to take night classes and he'll be with her at night. If you need a friend though, I am not far away and having a friend in the same situation helps.

"Board Beacon Parent" Setting New Standards |
Jgarrow,
Yuki is correct, you need to talk to an attorney...and fast. Don't leave until you do. Laws are different in every state. Why should you and your kids uproot everything? It would be easier for him to find someplace to live with no children. I hope it all works out for you. Take care. |

Hi! im a 31 yr old with a 11yr old and a very active 2 yr old. if i didn't come and live with my parents after leaving my sons father, i would probable be on state assistance. i get no support from him or his family. we were never married so it's not like i could have gotten anything from him (for myself). he runs from the state child support office. i also agree with yuki. i am an independant associate for a 32yr old dept-free company that is on the new york stock exchange. it's called pre-paid legal services(ppl). i pay a low monthly fee and i get unlimited phone calls to my provider law firm. they are handling the legal part of my child support. i pay no hourly fees unless i have to appear in court. every year you are given free hours of representation. ppl is in all 50 states and canada. if you think this may help you, then please email me. you also get to do a free will, which is very important for a single mom. they redo your will for free every year. please think about it. it has helped me and alot of people i know. you may even want to become an associate also. right now it is only $49.00 to become an associate (reg.$249.00). its a great way to earn income on the side. its perfect if you want to be able to stay at home with your child. contact me if you want to talk about anything. i know what you are going through, believe me.
take care and god bless, aloha from hawaii Renee(leinagirl) leinagirl*hawaii.rr.*** |
