Hi everyone
I'm new to the site. I'm actually not a single mama yet - will be as of Monday. I've dealt with a lot of emotional abuse, and recently a few bouts of physical abuse (nothing *considered* 'major', but isn't it ALL major?). I'm a mother of a 6m old son, and will have to move back in with my mom for now. We don't really get along, but I have no other options at the moment. It's especially hard considering I don't drive. Here I had no reason for a license, but where my mom lives I'll need a car to get around. Thankfully I have a friend who is going through a similar situation and we'll be moving in together.

I'd love to be friends with some of you all here as well as on other sites if you're on any site I use (I frequent myspace and livejournal).

I just joined too and have found some strength from the great people here and I hope you can do the same... I too live with my dad and stepmom and 1/2 brother and sister... its nuts and it really stinks taking over my little sisters bedroom so me and my baby can fit in.. I have been here for a year and find that you have to give yourself time away from the family... whether taking your baby on walks, or just visiting a friend for the weekend or something. It can be at times overwhelming but, keep your head up and realize that it is safer there then with the abuse. Anytime you want to exchange venting on the living with parents just let me know!

Lol maybe I should have specified that
I know how to drive and I've had my permit for about 6 years, just haven't had a reason to get a license. It's a lot cheaper for me to just stay put and walk or take the bus if I *NEED* to go somewhere. Why pay a car payment, car insurance, and gas money if you don't have to (^_^)
