I have my share of cell phone crisis stories to share but wanted to pass along a tip instead. I felt pretty much like a pro in avoiding "hidden charges" until last month when I was hit for nine 411 calls. If i have to point fingers well it was my new driver dd-teen and mom the commuter. Between the 2 of us we racked up $13 in 411 charges. I was sitting through one of those marathon swim meets Monday night talking to the other mothers who like, sharing the dirt. One mom turned me onto a cool solution for free directory assistance. 1-800FREE-411. I guess there are services now for this, I had no idea. Anyway just wanted to give everyone the heads up -- I know I coulda used this information a few weeks ago.
