A quick overview: I'm 28 and a first-time mom. The father isn't in the picture right now; I'm back living @ home with my parents.

Had yet ANOTHER fight with my parents; I went out w/ baby to a friend's house a couple towns over yesterday to go swimming. Got back around 10p and threw some poopy clothes in the wash. This, coupled with their new dog barking @ ppl outside, led my mother to believe that I had ppl in the basement. She told my stepfather who immediately got pissed and went to check! Then this AM she wakes me and the baby up @ 7 to complain at me, and tell me that *I* need to start behaving differently or leave. This ended withher telling me I had to get out TODAY. With an 8 wk old baby and nowhere else to go. I was wondering if anyone out there had any idea what legal recoure I might have. As far as I can tell, giving me a few hrs notice and kicking both of us out would count as child endangerment? I also found out that my stepfather had taken my daughter's SS card; it turned up in his 'dressing room' / the computer room. Hmmm....

Hey,

What legal recourse are you looking for? Do you want to prevent your mother from making you leave immediately? Honestly, she probably can *not* make you leave immediately....not legally.

But still, it's not like everything will be better if the police make your mother let you stay there awhile longer. For everybody's sake, you'll want to make the situation better.

Later,
Bobby
