MY ex and I went to court 8 years ago & we both reside in Ontario. He was suppose to provide financial statements to be annually. ( copies of his income tax returns). I know that he is now making double what he did 8 years ago and I also Know that Canada basis support payments on the support guideline which is based on their income. I believe he should be paying much more.
I have asked him in writing for these documents over the last 3 years – numerous times but have gotten nowhere..
I was told by FRO that I need to File a motion to change. Does anyone know if I can do this without a lawyer? And/or is it possible to have a lawyer send a letter to him requesting this information because it was part of our court agreement??
any info or advice would be greatly appreciated.!

I think you're probably better off just filing that motion. Even if he does provide his current financial docs it'll still need to go through the court to have the support amount modified. Not sure if you can/or should do it without a lawyer. I handled my custody case without a lawyer but then....I didn't have to face a lawyer representing the mother either.....If I were to file for support I'd likely do it without a lawyer again, but again...I already know that I wouldn't be facing a lawyer then either.
