i was told by many people that a mother who is not married to the father has custody of the child til shes taken to court for it. Is that true in indiana??

Every state is different, I know in Illinois that is the law. I would guess Indiana is probably the same. You can always do a search for Indiana laws or Indiana child support... it should bring up some government sites that would tell you their laws. Smiler
