I don't know where else to post about my on going problem with finances.
I have a bank in Germany so my husband can get his paycheck.
Anyway I have allot of bills here in the US and I can't seem to get ahead infact I am falling more and more behind.
The bank in Germany seems to get smaller and smaller and well to get caught up with bills
we decided to cancel a 11 year insurance policy
to get bills caught up.
Well we did the insurance is only giving us 2,000 back which is ridiculous and it told us twice they would put the money into our bank account well still nothing they said it would be there last week nothing, they said today, Nothing.
In the mean time I have bills calling me and I dont know what to do if they wait even till payday I cant catch every one up with one paycheck.

We got into trouble with payday loans and basically they all sent their check in with no money in the account I have managed to rack
444.00 in bounce check fees.

With that said I am drowning here and the insurance company in germany keeps lying and lying.
I cant speak german otherwise they would get a piece of my mind the bank and insurance company.
I feel so helpless and in the mean time things keep going down hill.

Thanks for listening I feel better.

Hi Whittney,
Have you considered a bankruptcy trustee? They don't just do bankruptcies. Here in Canada, you could do what is called a "proposal". This is where the trustee consolidates all your debts and then makes proposals to your debtors for repayments. Sometimes, the debtors will even accept less than what you owe. After the trustee is hired, all communications go through him. No more phone calls for you. The trustee may also be able to help with that insurance company.
I'm not sure how that would work in the states but something for you to look into.

Isnt there some sort of protection for those that purchase insurance though? You should be getting the money that they promised. Do you know someone in Germany that can fight or at least put some pressure on them to pay up?

I dont know anyone who can but I was thinking about contacting my husbands commander to get the wheels started to finding out exactly why we arent getting hardly any money we put into this.
We paid 80.00$ a month in this insurance and we should have recieved at least 60% back.
But your right I should be contacting someone regarding this. I mean they have to have lawyers for this stuff right?

Can I assume your husbands in the military? If so, doesn't the military have some sort of office to work on these kinds of issues for their ranks? What about contacting the chaplain? Maybe he knows a route you can use?

My husband is military.
German Airforce. They do have lawyers to get this solved for American military but in germany the laws are differant and so is the military.
We don't have free lawyers like the American military gets.

At the moment we are talking with his 1st sergent. No help.

We called the insurance company they told us the first of November now. If its not there we informed them we will not be contacting them a lawyer will be they said no need for that we will get right on it. I hope this works.

Good luck W. Let us know if you find a solution.
Funny how the word "lawyer" gets things moving.
