Anyone ever had this happen? I took the bus home after my daughter's choir practice (at our church!!) when this seemingly nice old lady, sat down beside us. My daughter was in her umbrella stroller in front of us. The lady started talking about God and church and basically trying to convert us to whatever fanatic faith she had, and then went to kiss my daughter!!! Eeker I was like, please don't touch my child, I don't know where you've been, or what diseases you have (didn't say that part - guess i'm too nice Wink.) She's says - don't you want your daughter to get blessed - likes she's Jesus or something!! I have nothing against people believing whatever they like - your choice! free will and all that - but seriously, do you need to be all in-your-face about it?? And the funny thing is, I was just at my church, with my daughter in choir, and talking with our children's pastor about teaching sunday school!!! Big Grin

In a recent discussion a woman told me that the problem in the middle east is not Islam, it is fanatacism. She then went on to say that there are Catholics who are fanatics too, and they are just as dangerous. Did I mention the woman I was talking to was an 85 year old Catholic Nun? Very wise woman if you ask me. As for the lady on the bus she sounds like a bit of a wakadoo. I wouldn't let her kiss my kid either.

Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echoes are truly endless. Mother Teresa
