I also believe that Jesus Christ is the way the truth and the light. I teach my children from the bible, and believe in a relationship with Jesus, don't believe in religon myself. I don't push my beliefs on people around me, but everyone does know what I believe. I thank God every day for the freedom we have to discuss what we believe without being killed for it!

There are many churches that teach the word right. Some churches have stronger areas than others. For me I have spent a diffrent seasons of my life at diffrent churches depending on what God is trying to teach me. I think everyone has to let the holyspirit guide them where God wants them to be. It could be baptist, or Non Denominational or whatever as long as there are staying in the Fathers will and teaching the word for what it is not what they wanted to be. No church is perfect by any means and everyone has strong holds there all trying to work through but as long as we are in a place the is filled with the holyspirit and students of the bible God will bless it. I go to a evangical Christian church right now where I am learning about the Fathers love and how he wants me to have a father son relationship with me and not just a God to servant relationship. To many times in life people get wrapped up with the spirit of religon, keep in mind religon is man made I dont ever recall in the bible Jesus saying ok baptist here, penticostal over there and that group over there. He intended all of us to be a part of his church and all of us as one family. If I offened anyone that is not what I intened to do. Jesus be with you all and bless you all!!!

I have studied for many years and believe the Jewish faith is right. I am a Noachide or Bat Noach (lit. "daughter of Noah"), which is a gentile who follows the Seven Laws of Noach and the faith of Judaism. (Believe it or not, you don't have to be a Jew to believe as the Jews do and follow the commandments Hashem requires of you.) However, there are many paths to Hashem. Who am I to say that mine is the only correct path?

The Torah - the Five Books of Moses - has been transferred from parchment scroll to parchment scroll by highly trained scribes for millenia. None of it has been altered and is written in its original Hebrew. Translations in many languages are available (to read in English online, see http://www.chabad.org/library/archive/LibraryArchive.asp?AID=63255), but the scrolls that are studied and read aloud in synagogues contain the original Hebrew words. Most Jews will tell you that if you truly want to know the accurate meaning of the Torah, you should learn Hebrew and read it in the original. Not an easy task, but it's being done by thousands every day.

If you are interested to learn about the Seven Laws of Noach and/or the Jewish faith, READ! There are tons of books on Judaism available. Most information about following the Seven Laws can be found online at various websites.

http://noahide.com/index2.htm
http://www.7for70.com/
http://webpages.charter.net/chavurathbneinoach/
http://www.hamayim.org

just to name a few....

The book "Path of the Righteous Gentile" details each law. For more information, PLEASE do not be afraid to contact your local Orthodox rabbi (preferably Chabad Lubavitch, as they are more geared toward outreach). He should be more than willing to explain these laws and how they pertain to you personally. The Jews are more welcoming of gentiles than most people think.

It is a beautiful, meaningful, rich way of life. Feel free to contact me directly at mama2quads@comcast.net if you want to know more from me personally. I'll be happy to help you learn.

Julie

I would like to weigh in on this one. I was raised Catholic, left the church when I was 20 because I wasn't growing in my faith and began attending a Baptist Church. After trying many christian denominations, I settled on a non-denominational church. You need to choose a church where the Bible is preached (in its entirety not selective portions), where you are growing and learning more about God and establishing relationships with other believers.

NO ONE has the right to decide for others what the "right religion is".
Give me a break already!

as long as your beliefs are centered on personal spiritual growth and you help and not harm than any religion can be good and right for that person. You must untilize the tools of common sense and intuition together. I am like a new ager and not biblical spiritual but follow the same lines and try to help everyone as I go. I do what I can and don't try to create impossible happens to happen. Just remember karma comes back either good or bad. Give good karma and receive good karma, give bad karma and receive bad karma.

Hmmm...I went through a terrible time desperately needing truth, and (already being a Christian), turned to the church and to the Bible. First, I hated when -many people in- churches or on the TBN channel said to pray this way or that way. I got so fed up that I just started YELLING at God saying "If my conversations aren't correct then screw it!!! No one's gonna tell me how to pray or that my simple words are wrong!" (and, yes, I know to pray with a sincere heart).

THEN...it hurt my heart to the core when I'd read passages from Psalms or Proverbs stating: kill my enemies or let them crumble (I'm not quoting here by the way). It was just I couldn't believe that anyone would wish any type of HARM on anyone else. My God! I have seen enough pain in my own life, why in the world would I want any one else to feel that?!?

But! Slight contradiction:

In another place in the Bible it says to build one another up, encourage each other, pray for our enemies.

Many authors complete the Bible. They were people too. Just as we are, expressing themselves, and with a sinful nature (just as us).

I like this thread because I believe each and every one of us is and will always be searching for TRUTH. As I have grown, and experienced, and matured, and observed, etc... I have relaxed in my head strong opinions that our brains have been conditioned to from either intrepreting the Bible or from going to church to hear a message.

LOVE is what counts. That is all. And I personally believe -love- is the biggest word in the human language.

I have also come to believe that some areas of the (well say the Christian belief) has a tremendous amount of fear behind it. Fear that we've sinned...the fear we've backsliden...fear that we're going to hell...in some churches we 'fear' that our clothes are not dressy enough...there truly is an endless list of fears.

I believe the person before me said they are more Spiritual (talked about Karma). My particular church scared me (put FEAR) into me---never ever believe in Karma, reincarnation, etc...it's "evil". And that type of "conditioning of the mind" or brainwashing, if you will, SEPARATES people and that is what the church, who reads the Bible is telling their congregation! "To surround yourself with 'like' people...be careful...doom. God is all encompassing.

Now I'm gonna tell you all something and I don't want you to "Freak out". I have a beautiful friend who has actually seen fairies. Yes, faires! He was not tripping on acid or having any other type of hallucination. That experience (of seeing fairies) is now part of his life experience so who are we (the religious ones who can't find anything of that nature in the Bible) to say he is evil, or wrong, or not living in the truth of the Bible???

Really, I wish we had more of an open mind to the vastness of the world and the mysteries in it. God is God and the Creator, but we are ants trying to figure things out in our own little world, depending on intrepreters and then only believing that. And what about the DaVinci Code and the lost books of the Bible. Ok then. Maybe it's true. But the almight church is placing judgement. Since it can't be found in the Bible is must be wrong or maybe (that person) is being influenced by the devil!

So, see, it comes back to love. Sometimes I think our focus gets fuzzy!

The DaVinci Code is fiction. The lost books of the Bible are the Catholic Apocrapha. They are book of prophesy. The church is the body of Christ and to denounce the church in anyway is to say that you can be fine without the body. Jesus said the hand is not able to function without the arm or the leg. That the body must work together. But that is the body of believers. Yes, we should love others but loving others means that we do not allow them to continue in their sin without knowing truth.

David wrote Psalms and Proverbs was written by Solomon (both mere men). Jesus (God incarnate) said love your enemies and pray for your enemies. Therefore, the Bible does not contradict itself as the mere men who wrote those books did not tell others to harm people but rather that was their prayer to God.

I think if there were an answer to this there would not be so many religions in the world. Whatever one is right in your heart is the right one.

HERE'S A DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVE:

The Creator of all that is - came to ALL PEOPLE throughout the world. All cultures tell the same principles, laws, myths, in their own unique way. Everybody has a piece of the puzzle. The only way one would know this is if they have been exposed to different cultures and even then, it would all depend on ones level of consciousness and what they are ready to receive as truth.

Christianity, if you know the history of it, was formed by Constantine at the FIRST COUNCIL OF NICEA in Alexandria, Egypt. People from all over the world from many cultures and backgrounds were summoned to attend this meeting. This is why, it is no surprise that what is in the bible, is also in Kemetic Yoga (ancient egyptian religion), and many other indigenous religions.

There is a book called the 16 Crucified Saviors of the World. Yes, there were that many. 16 different cultures had a crucified savior and the story is just the same as that of Yehoshua (true aramaic name of Jesus which was the original language that Jesus spoke).

The bible, just like all other religious writings, was not to be taken literal, but is a mythological and metaphysical book with Kemetic codes and Kabbalah codes in it.

So someone asked the question: what is the ONE right religion. There is no ONE right religion. There ALRIGHT.

One more thing, the Kingdom of Heaven lies within oneself - you are the church..

The funny thing I find, and won't comment futher, is that we are all talking the same God. Sameone folks, so who is to say what it right, or are some of you prohets? Jews are talking the same God christianity is, so are all the many denominations. So tell me, when you beleave in God, and most all of you say you do, who is right? Same God... Peace.
