Hello, Smiler

Anyone with an earth based religion here?
I am eclectic with a basis in wicca.

I respect the earth, does that count? ;-)
I don't have much time for any sort of organized religion, but I definitely respect the ones that take care of the whole including the earth that literally gives us life.

What does wicca entail? Alot of rituals like catholics?

I just wanted to say you are not alone I am also a wiccan and have practioused since I was a child we are witches but this is nothing to be scared of it is a religion that beleives in nature and respect for the earht and things around us. WE have our celebrations and we beleive in our worship there are as I find many simularities in all religions but there are differences too. Everyone must be able to find their own way to be spritual.

I have a great respect for the planet and a very keen interest in paganism...have done research over the years, but I share my beliefs with nobody. I live in a red neck town, and just my vegetarianism and my need to recycle get me enough funny looks. Since the departure of my husband I've been able to grow my spirituality quite a bit, and do plan on becoming...maybe almost extremist. I'd like to eventually be vegan. Teach my children to avoid all of the brainwashing imposed on us by the media. Avoid shopping major retail outlets...i'd like to be totally self sufficient one day when I've the means. My religion i guess is avoidance of mainstream social influence....
other than that I don't know how to define it.

Wiccan all my life and SO glad this forum is here.

My 7 year old understand the concepts of 'mommy's beliefs', which is a reverence for nature. She knows that not everyone believes the same things and that she will decide what 'religion' she wants to be when she is older.

It's getting harder though. Especially since she started school. Being overseas makes it worse. Of all the things, this is becoming one of the hardest (which is just sad).

I really can't wait to get back State Side so she can associate with children in her position.
