"Doing what I can"
SFV JUNKIE!!!

Okay so I know I didn't put in 1000% into my accounting class but I got a "ZERO." My accounting instructor passed away the day before finals and someone else ended up doing the grading. But somehow I ended up getting a "ZERO" in this class!?!?! I participated in the group discussions, even though I thought it was ****, and did the homework and took the tests.

I now have to take more time out of my already full schedule to meet with a counselor in order to register for next semester. I am so peeved right now . . I guess I just wanted to vent.

I would find it highly unlikely that b/c your professor passed away they could give you a zero. Ridiculous since you did put in some efforts.

I emailed the person that did the grades and she said to contact her on Jan 7 when she got back to the college, since she's out until then. Well I have to meet with a counselor prior to the semester which starts January 15! So on January 2, I am going to meet with a counselor and make it known that I think its **** that I got a "ZERO" since I did what the syllabus said to do. What a crock!

It sounds like it was an error on the part of the person who entered the grades for your professor.

I remember receiving a C in one class. I had gotten A's on both the mid-term and final exams. I was absoulutely baffled as to how I would have gotten a C. I made an appointment to speak with my professor, and he discovered that he had only entered one of the exams into my final grade.

See? Even teachers make mistakes, too!

I hear your frustration, though, in having to make time to deal with this in your already busy life. Such a pain!
