Without family or friends helping to take evening classes, it must be very difficult to even take 2 classes a week.

Have you considered:

Taking classes at a college that has 'adult learning.' Classes that are tuned in for working adults or parents.

Daycare assistance from the government.

I work full time, commute 2 hrs a day, and take 2 classes a week. I'm able to do it due to helpful family. I get very exhausted after a couple weeks because I don't get home until 11pm. My children cope well with the schedule but I feel terribly guilty about not being with them on those evenings.

Just do what you can do. If you want to better yourself and you are only able to take babysteps, TAKE those babysteps. A little at a time is better than not trying or giving up.

I'm new to this site and saw your post. I am finding the same problem. Work and shcool are becomming an issue. Ok! lets just add I have no life .....But in Idaho theres not much to do anyway. I am falling my behind day by day. I have asked for help from every state program known to man. I'm on Public Assistance and still don't have what it takes alone. Any advice would be welcomed.p.s still having time for your kids and giving them a goods life.

It can be done. Right now, I am a full time student and working full time. I am in school 3 days a week and work third shift. During the day, I take care of my daughter. There are many times I go 2 and 3 days with not even a five minute nap. It is very hard and very tiring, but it can be done. Good luck to you.

IF you can figure out the financial piece, going to school online gives you the most flexibility to work full time, and still have time for your child. That's what I did.

Good luck, please don't give up - because it does get very hard.
