No problem, though I can't make any guarantees as my mind may have rusted over.

Another warning, my 8 year old asked me the other day if the universe ended somewhere. After an hour and a half of discussing quantum mechanics, cosmology, the general and special theories or relativity he told me to stop.

Clear both fractions. multiply both sides of the equation by 4

4(1/4x) + 4(3/2x) = 4(7)

x + 6x = 28

Collection like terms

7x = 28

divide both sides of the equation by 7

7x / 7 = 28 / 7

x = 28 / 7

x = 4
