iam a single mother of a 5 year old boy and i am looking to return to school for both our sakes. we are just now getting over a lot of hardships in our life like an abusive husband and absent father and now we are living for eachother... he told me happy father's day yesterday morning while i was getting ready for work. anyhow to the point i only know of the federal pell grant from the state, if there is anyone who could help me get some information on what is out there for me to take advantage of it would be wonderful. im not looking for a free ride but being as i live with my folks and have a minimum wage job i need all the help i can get. please respond with all ergency, and thank you.null

Look on this board under Campus Single Parents... there is a wealth of info there. Your school's financial officer can help you... that is their job! Make them work. As for scholarships .... you have to go after those. Check out www.fastweb.*** I found a few things there. From another post you will find out about a couple of books that list scholarships from the library.
