I have started school on line and its GREAT!
I can study when my children are at school and I take a nap an hour before they come home so that when they arrive home I can share our day together, we do all that mommie stuff and I put my Angels to bed around 9pm and because of my nap I can keep going till midnight. That leaves me two to three hours to do what need to be done for school. I'm going full time so I have to put in about 60 of just school alone each week and this routine seems to work for me.

Wow Renoir sounds like you got it together.

I try and do that to my best but never seems to really work out so smooth. People think since Im home that Im not doing anything.

I go to the college here in town, they have classes on line. And I have taken loads of free classes on line to learn computor stuff.

Any one else doing this or just us two.

I just signed up to this web site today. Computers are new to me so I am having difficulty finding my way around. I am currently taking sociology and English 101 via computer and it's great. I can still work full time and make both of my children's sporting events. When this semester is over I would like to take an on-line computer knowledge class. Know of any?

I just happened to run across this website. I am glad to discover that there is a website esspecially for single parents attending school. I too am in college and am seeking to provide a financially safe and secure future for my children.
At my college I decided to start a single parents network for students. 70% of the students who attend my school are single parents. As one myself, I feel that it is important to encourage and motivate our parenting mothers and fathers while they're in school.
I would just like to congradulate all single parents across the world for hanging in their. Lord knows it's not easy trying to raise children and pursue a dream,but we will survive. In the end we will reap all of the benefits of this struggle.

I'm a single mother of 2. I was wondering if anybody knew of Financial Aid and Available Grants for Single Mothers. I am also interested in pursuing a career in computer technology, does anybody know how to get started?

Hi from PA. Im a newly single parent after 18 years of an abusive marriage. I have decided to go back to school to better myself and my life for my two lil men. I have one that definitely wants to go to college so I need update myself for a better job. Im looking at web design because I love working with the computor and it offers me the opportunity to work from home. I have been to some of the local technical schools, but found out I can take classes, but Im more than likely going to be stuck going for the evening classes that run from 5:30-10:50 PM and be on thurs. fri. and sat evenings. NOT a good thing with two boys who totally count on mom. I am interested in taking classes online so I can do it from home. Anyone know of any classes for Web Design online? I would appreciate any help.
