I am a single mother of two boys aged 9 and 5. I work full-time for the State of Missouri and I am a part-time nursing student. Anyone who knows anything about nursing knows that it is rough! I find it hard to keep my grades up because I don't have much study time or I am dead tired because I work and have two demanding boys. A few students told me about a grant, loan, or scholarship that will help single mothers with bills while attending school. I would like to cut down on my working hours, so I will have more time to study. I cannot, however, cut down on the money because I have a house, car, and many bills. Does anyone know about any financial assistance for single mother. My school is not very helpful in giving any extra information. THey always say, "I don't know!" I have heard this about many financial aid offices.
Does anyone have any info? PLEASE HELP!!

If you can go to your libary! I know that there is tons of scholorships out there for you and I knwo that in some states there are programs that pay your colloge and your bills and gives you some money to live on. Go to your local Welfare office those places are not just for food stamps, they have tons of ussful info and try your health department, sometimes they offer folks in the nursing field grants because they always need nurses.. I hope this helped and good luck to you
