Alot of people think that hacing daycares in highschools is a way to encourage teen parenting, i jsut wanted to say that is INCORRECT and it is a way to help young parents not drop out and do good for their kids. My highschool was jsut a regular secondary school and it just happeneed to have a daycare in it, it was funded by the government and it was just a blessing to have. The kids we're so close, they we're well taken care of, and it was very cheap. I had my kids in gr 11 and everyone at the school grew to know and love the kids, by the end of grade 12 when we'd walk in the front doors everyone would say hi to the kids, give them 5's and it was jsut an all around good experiance. After i graduated i put them in a french daycare (only one with 2 spaces open at once) they we're there for 3mths while they were on a waiting list at the local colleges daycare. The french one wasnt governmet run so it was more expensive, but we still got some money frm the government to put towards it. Finally when they got in at the college and which was again government run and at a school so much cheaper.
So basicaly the point of this is to say that if you look into government run daycares or ones at schools they are generaly much cheaper, and that doesnt even mean they are worse..infact the one at the college is part of the early childhood education program there, its high scope, and they have students in there, the kids love it, they learn so much. Its defiantly something to look into if your in need of childcare!
