Hi, im 17 and my name is Michelle.
I have a 4 month old baby (soon to be 4 months)
and i need advice.
The father isnt paying anything or giving me money.i cant pay bills.i have no money and soon no job.and now i cant provide for my son.
all i have is WIC and he only has medicaid.I am bi-polar and i get so angry, and i cant even afford to updose my medicine to get better.i also want to get my GED to become a CSI agent. But i dont think it will happen. The only support i have is my parents. I really am depressed, i cry because im a screw up and i just dont know what to do. I do not want this life for my son. I may not even get to see him and ill be on the streets. Also im dealing with the CPS too....My life sucks.

I'm not really sure how to respond to this. It is unfortunate what you are going through and I certainly hope it gets better.

Why dont you go after the dad for child support?
Why is CPS involved?

Even if the dad is abusive, you should get a restraining order if there isn't already one then get him for child support. It's not only your responsibility for raising the child.

I was 23 when I had my daughter and I didn't know what I was doing but I figured it out. I'm sure you will also. Actually I am just now going back to college so . . . it may be hard but you will get through You have definitely found a great group of people that will support you.

You could go to family court and apply for a court date.....Or Welfare, go to them they will direct you on how to go about it. Also you could call any number in the phone book relating to family court, or child welfare and they will direct you on what to do and how to do it. It is NOT as hard as you are thinking....Just time consuming. You will have to give up a day to sit and apply for the court date and a day for the court date.

You can do it and it will be sooo worth it. Well as long as he pays. You also could apply for full custody while you are there. Get all of this taken care of now before you start school because then you will have to take days off.
