I hope somebody out there can help me. I hired a sitter about 1 month ago. Problem is she is young (only 17 years old) and has 2 kids of her own. She and her fiance just moved out of his parents home (I advanced her this weeks salary so they could). She was a no show this morning so I had to call in. I can't keep taking off from work. I can't afford to lose my job, I need the pay. I have 5 children from my 16 year marriage. The 3 kids that need child care are a 4 1/2 year old boy and twins (girl/boy) who are 2 1/2 years old. We live in Independence, MO. I work for the state at homes in Independence, MO. I've known since I was 15 years old that this was the type of work I was supposed to do. I took a detour from doing it to marry my ex. I do not need any added stress as I am just now admitting that I have been in a depressed state of mind since this all started happening almost 2 years ago. The kids' dad is no help, as he has only had all or part of the 5 kids 10 times in almost 2 years. Anyone who has a suggestion or solution please let me know. As I am typing this I am getting so stressed out that my hands are shaking and I can't concentrate. Thanks.

how much do you pay her? Is there aday care center that can take the kids. We have one here in Cal called KinderCare. It takes all ages, even infants. You need a reliable babysitter and she is not. i know she is young and needs money too, but you need a job to support your kids. maybe you can post out here for a babysitter in Independence ,MO.
