Hi there...

I have been searching all over the internet for a Decent forum to chat on about teenage pregnany, I thought this forum was great, I am so happy to see so many lovley people on here.

Fortunetly I am not a single parent as of yet. I am in a stable long term relashionship with my boyfriend, we have been thinking of having a child. We both work, and are willing to give up the rest of our parentless lives to care for a baby, but we wanted to ask the advice of the already fortunet and lovley mothers out there.

Unfortnetly I have already suffered a misscarriage in January this year, I was due mid July 2007. It's been hard, but we have coped together.

Any advice would be wonderful.

Blessings

Steph & Rob

Hi Steffy,
Although I think that a teenage parent can be as responsible and caring as any older parent and I highly applaud their courage, I would not recommand that you intentionnally put yourself in that position. Don't get me wrong, children are great, but if you're still a teenager, you should finish your studies and have a stable career before parenthood. It's wonderful to be a parent, but you should not rush things.

Good luck whatever you decide.

"Who me......?"
At A loss for Words - NOT!

Steffy,

Smile-at-life has some good words. I don't know what it is like to be a teen with a child but I do know it's a lifetime commitment. Life changed dramatically for me once I had a child. I didn't have the freedom to just go out and get the midnight snacks like i used to because the baby is sleeping. I worried more about my mistakes that I made since it know affects more than just me.

My kids are much older now and more independent so when I start thinking I want a baby... I find one of my friends and play with theirs.... give them back and enjoy a little more freedom.

good advice,it should be noted that the mothers are the ones that carry the intelligence genes and most people labeled genius are born to people over thirty, it could be a good thing to wait for... what ever you decide may love take you to your decision. food for thought...peace

Thank you -- all of you. I spoke to my boyfriend about it the other day, and also my mum. She things that I am feeling this because this was indeed the month I was orginally due in, its unfortunet that I had to loose my child at 1 month. My mother is a wonderful person, so supportive and never judges me, she understands it it always one of those 'picture perfectsituations' I dream of, as she is indeed a single mother... raised me and my brother since we were 3/4 all on her own.

Thanks very much for advice. I think I shall wait, unless I am blessed with one in the mean time... but as you said... not intentionally Wink
