Hey girls! I am also a single mother! I have a six month old son and I love him more than anything in the whooooole world! However, as y'all know, things aren't always cool & peachy ... I work full time without physical or emotional support from his "father" so it's often very demanding work! I would love any support anyone can lend me and am happy to give support back, of course! You girls can e-mail me at ModelMommy2@aol.com or just write me a message back on here! I am looking forward to a reply either way as it would be awesome to have "outside support" from people who truly understand! Smiler

Hi girls! My son's name is Skyler. I liked it becuase it was kind of different. It was actually the name of a friend of mine and it always stuck with me! Well, I'll tell you all the short verson of my story. I'd been seeing my boyfriend for a while and we were moving in together and all that good stuff until I found out he was cheating on me. Of course, that's when I discovered I was 3 months pregnant and when I told him, he told me he had gotten some other girl pregnant a month after me while we were still together! Oh you can't even imagine! It's so horrible! Mad So, now THEY are living together and she has other kids that he's adopted yet he refuses to see our son! ARG! So anyway, that's that. lol So, what's the scoop with all of you girls? I'm excited to hear back from you all! I'm so glad that I found this site! It's great! Smiler

Hi again! I really love that name, Skyler! It's so unique! I am so sorry that happened to you! I can't imagine what that must have been like. At least he is out of your life now, though! You and Skyler are much better off, although I know it must be hard at times. I've been quite fortunate in being able to sign up for programs such as WIC & Healthy Start, which help with both food and medical costs. Have you looked into either of those where you live? They are so helpful! Have a great day! Smiler

hey girls!
well, to make a long story short...
the daddy in my situation was there for me at first. then we got into an argument and i didn't hear from him for two months. at the end of september, he called me and apologized. he's been around ever since but he's still not as dependable as i'd like him to be. we'll see where it all goes. but i have five weeks until my son's due date and i can't wait! i'm done with being pregnant! anyways, i hope everything's going good for you two. did you have a good thanksgiving?
well, talk to you later

Hi girls! I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving! My parents are divorced, so both wanted to have the baby over and I ended up going to like three different places for Thanksgiving! It was crazy but it was nice to see everyone! Well, thanks Toni! I like his name too! I wanted something not a lot of other people had and I liked that! I haven't heard of Healthy Start, however I am joined in WIC and it is SO incredible because I save almost $200 a month in baby food! I tried breastfeeding, but because he was so early, my body wasn't prepared to start so early and I ended up having to use formula. Out here, it's like $15 for one can of powder formula so it's great to be able to get it for free! I think it's awesome that the father is deciding to be there for you and the baby Michelle! Do you girls have names picked out yet? I sort of had names picked out before I even knew I was pregnant because I have friends with such unique names. I always thought if I ever had children, I would name them after my friends so it was pretty easy! Are these your girls' first children? Skyler is my first! He's so fun! Wink Anyway, he's waking up now so I better stop blabbing! Talk to you all later!
