Kayley said her first word was mama and second word is dada. Go figure, right

she started saying dada before we leave for vacation. all vacation it was dada and she is now calling me dada. its only word that I was not prepared to deal with. Since then she hasn't said mama.

she learned the word from a bird. so not fun.

I think most kids do this, and I dont think she is relating it to her dad necessarily. LOL

Ashlyn's first word was Maaaaaa for "More". She said it and signed "more" at the same time- I was so impressed Big Grin

Yeah. Watch out. My daughter managed to break my DVD player and later submerged the remote control in the fish tank.

You're going to regret that she started walking. Mobile kids are dangerous.

LOL this is so funny! I cant wait to hear Ian's first words.

I do remember the first word of my youngest brother though... It was "BALL"... and he loves to play ball. His second word was funny, it was "TAE" -- it's a Filipino word meaning "manure" LMAO Big Grin

I'm thinking I have a couple more weeks before we are walking. she is only taking a couple of steps and drops to the floor. her sesame street bouce is so adorable.

My youngest is 10 months now her first word was her name "Ella" Her second was Da Da its just the flow of sounds although it would cause family members to gasp and give me those pitty eyes I knew it is just the natural course of babbeling. Now she says quite a few words but every time she says a new one she gets stuck on it for like a week. this week its thank you. She however is no where even close to walking she isn't even fully crawling -just creeping. I think most kids either do well at talking and walk alittle later or run around the house before they can say more than three words. It seems to be my observation.
