My daughter will be three months on feb. 12. She's been drooling a lot so my mom said maybe she's teething. Yah right I though, they dont start that until there around 6 months. Well curious I stuck my finger in her mouth, and rubbed her gums. Sure enough on the bottom theres a little bump poking out! I was just wondering if thats unusual for her to start teething this young?

All babies are different. Just because there is a doctor saying that the norm for teething is 6 months, that doesn't mean that is when all babies will start. My son was early about doing everything, except teething and walking. He didn't cut his first tooth until 11 months. There is nothing wrong w/your baby. Just be sure to have plenty of teething rings cooled in the fridge and tylenol.

My daughter started teething at 2 1/2 months. I know she bit me! She had all her teeth and started going to the dentist at not quite 2. The 12 year molars came in at 10 years old. Yes, she does everthing early too. No sign of needing braces at all .. Thank You GOD!
My niece however did not get her first tooth until she was almost 1. That did not slow her down in the food department though. She could eat a grown man hands down. She is now 10 1/2 and still has all but 4 baby teeth. The dentist is getting a bit concerned now. The permanent teeth are all there but not coming through. My sis was a bit concerned... I still have one baby tooth in my head... I baby it alright because it's 40 years old, it's a front tooth and implant starts at $2,500.

Oh one more hint... keep some very clean damp wash cloths in the freezer to give baby to chew on. My mother did this when she was babysitting and the babies loved it more than teething rings. My daughter liked it much better as well. They also soak up all the drool! Motrin for the pain works wonders!

Thanks for all your input, my cousin just told me about the washclothes. I'll have to try that one
