"Every thought we think is creating our future" Setting New Standards |
I was just thinking about all of the cute things my kids do that crack me up and thought I'd start a little thread here. Plus I'm just bored out of my mind today and need some amusement.
I was watching Addy crawl around on the floor just now and she let out the biggest toot. She stops and kinda looks at me like "what the heII was that, Mom." ...I got a little chuckle out of it. |

"Faith is sooo yummy!" At A loss for Words - NOT! |
ha ha ha ha! I loved the video of her crawling. I laughed at that too. But it made me sad too. It is just too fast.
I remember playing with Faith's feet in the cry room at church - resulting in a large toot in an otherwise silent room - the whole room of folks just turned and looked at me and I couldnt help myself, I cracked up and so did everyone else. If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |

Faith is just starting to laugh. Her first one ever was a week ago Sunday when I was visiting my folks. I was SOOOO excited! But it was bittersweet and sarcastic at the same time. My dad has Alzheimer's and my has mom dementia. Faith let out this hearty yet husky laugh and I freaked out. It was amazing. I looked at my folks like "woooow, did you hear that?" and they were both like doop da doop doop doop....
So then, I'm second guessing, did she really laugh? Why cant I get her to laugh again? 4 days later a teeny laugh. The beginning of one today and the phone rang and scared her. That YOuTube video of the kid laughing at ripping paper is awesome. She is such a happy baby that I am sure her laugh is going to full out rock my world. I cant wait! For everything else I am saying slow down and milking every moment. But the laugh, oh the laugh. If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |

ok, the beginning of crawling???
Faith hates tummy time. An hour a day? No way, I'm lucky to get 10 minutes a day out of her. But when I put her in the boppy on her tummy, she climbed out of it! FOUR times just to make sure it was not a fluke - and so I could videotape it. I am so proud of my big girl. Yet not wanting her to rush it either. happy sigh... babies rock! If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |

She just turned 5 months, but she was 5 weeks early, so there are adjusted age things. Dang, I can even complicate a simple question. *shakes head and chuckles* If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |

That makes perfect sense to me. Ayden was 3 weeks early so I always took that into consideration when I was keeping track of the development. Addy was born right on her due date and a whole pound bigger than Ayden...she's still a lil chunk to this day. |

Faith was 4 pounds and I was so pissed that she was a C because a 4 pound delivery would have been sooo easy - like a big poop - lol At 11 lbs now she is huuuuge. Big and strong and bold and brave and mighty is what I tell her! If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |

Why did they have to do a C section? That stinks! Ayden was 6 lbs 6 ounces and Addison was 7 lbs 4 ounces and they were both not even 4 hours of labor and just a few pushes. My doctor told me that I was good at having babies. ...I really enjoyed both pregnancies and didn't mind the labor and delivery part, but don't really think I want any more children...at least not in the near future. |

She was turning a bunch, breech, then sideways, then normal, then breech again. ugh. They took her early because I was attacked and beaten pretty badly when I was 16 weeks pregnant and they think that is why my placenta was damaged and not feeding her, hence the teeny belly 12 hours before delivery. It is 5 months later and just this week I am starting to get the feeling back (ssoooooo itchy)by my incision. I have to look around before I go scratching - ha ha ha. My poor girl is teething and oh so miserable. Breaks my heart - why is this so hard on them? If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |

Oh my goodness, girl. You've been through A LOT! Oh...teething is h3ll! Addy was miserable too. I hope Faith gets to feeling better. I actually rubbed some whiskey on Addy's gums when she was really uncomfortable. I'm sure her doctor would shake his head in disapproval...but, hey, it worked. |

bah, I dont know about strong, you just survive. and really, i was lucky. i waited 15 years for her, crying myself to sleep so many nights fearing i'd never get her. then i got 5 "bonus" weeks with her. no one likes being 9 months pregnant and huge, so i didnt have to deal with that. and everyone loves teeny babies. at 4 pounds she was the tiniest thing anyone i know had ever seen. yea scary as **** at the time, but in the end so wonderful. at 5 months i think she is early for teething, but when i give her a finger as she cries, she chomps on it with a death grip, so i'm thinking... i have one of those in the fridge teethers that she loves, but she can not hold it in her hands yet. so i have to hold it in her mouth for her. she loves it, but it is hard for me to be that still for that long. i breathe wrong and it slips out of her mouth and she cries. poor little thing. i was thinking of freezing a baby washcloth and letting her chomp it, perhaps i'll soak it in whiskey first, might help. not joking, i likethe idea. do you think it is whiskey for a reason or can i use vodka or rum? i've heard of so many folks using whiskey i bet the doc will think "cheers" If you think you can, or you think you cant - you are right. |
