I have been feeling sick since yesterday and I went to work yesterday and made myself feel worse. I am just asking for advice as to what would make it easier to deal with the fact that I am sick and Mya isn't. She is absoultly everwhere right now and I don't have the stamina to keep up with her. What do you guys do? Thanks Frowner

I know babysitters are expensive, but you need one now. 2 hours could be enough ! Just some time to sleep or at least to rest completely, for you.
Those were always the most terrible times for me too. I remember one time I was sick and my babysitter would not answer the phone. I thought I was going to die. That's when I asked a neighbours girl if she wanted to go for a walk with the baby. My son loved it and I was a bit better when they came back (unfortunately she has moved away).
That's all I can think of.
I hope you'll get better soon.

Hi Jayme,
Do exactly what Daniela tells you to do.You need a little rest, otherwise you will not have any energy left.Mya will just tire you out.

Get well soon,

Mark

Hello,
I am so sorry your sick..
Those are the hardest times to be a single parent...(or a parent in general really)..
If you can find a sitter for a little while that would be great for you... Don't think of it as slacking just cause your home.. This is a tottally needed break....
If you can't find one..
I know mya is young but kids learn at a young age what the work sick is ...
Tell her mama sick and try to get her to cuddle in bed with a good cartoon movie...Or even make a bed on your living room floor so you can lay down and rest with her.. But still suporvise what she is doing.. get a bunch of stuff down for her to do coloring..toys ect.. That always keeps my 2/3yr old busy just enough to rest a little..
and when she naps you nap no matter what else you need to do..
Concentrate on getting better right now.. Mya needs you to...
best of wishes...

Hey guy's, thank you so much and I followed your advice. I enlisted in the help of my dear mother. I am going to go to bed soon and get some sleep, I work at 7 am. I just hate the feeling that you can't look after your own kids. Oh well hopefully I am wel tomarrow. I think I just caught a bit of what Mya had. Take care and talk to you soon. Roll Eyes

Hey good for you..
You know if your not better tomarrow and your able to call our from work..Then do it that is what sick days are for.. On top of that you already have a sitter think of all the time you would have to get better...
Just keep mya there during your normal work schedule...Then pick her up when you were set to get off.. You will be so refreshed..
If your feeling up to it.. then of course go but if not don't feel guilty!!!!! Wink

feel better soon k...
