"Sigh. I love this place."
Lively & Zealous Parent

Hi all, just a little warning to the parents in VA and possibly some other areas as well. In my area there have been a few cases of Pertussis (whooping cough) and, in fact, my daughter has contracted it. It is very serious and very very contagious. Please be aware if your children are in school or daycare. Once they start antibiotics, then they are still contagious for FIVE days!! If you need info on the condition, click here:

Beware! Read the symptoms carefully! Cough meds do not help. My daugher was having coughing fits and turning red and could hardly catch her breath and then she would throw up and say "I'm all better now". These are classic symptoms!! Get educated and get treated if necessary. All the kids in her daycare as well and my son and me have had to go on antibiotics.
