Hello everyone,I live in Anniston,Alabama and I am trying to start a support Group here.Yes I am a Grand mother raiseing a Grandson,And would like to help,CHILDREN,NEW MOTHERS &FATHERS,GRAND-PARENTS,SINGLE PARENTS (FEMALE,MALE).MY QUESTION IS DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO SET A GROUP UP AND DO YOU KNOW WHERE I CAN GET INFO TO HELP ME GET THINGS GOING IN THIS AREA,THERE IS NO SUPPORT GROUPS HERE,SO WE ARE IN NEED.IF YOU CAN HELP I WOULD BE VERY GREATFUL. THANK-YOU WILMA

Hi, Wilma! Welcome to SFV. I think it is great what you are trying to do. You might try your local government websites. They may have information that can help you in organizing something like this. Good luck!

What a small world. I live right between Kissimmee and St. Cloud. It is really beautiful here. I lived near downtown for a couple of years, too. Where about does your family live?

The world needs more grandma's like you. I'm glad you are here. I think it would be really funny if I knew your family. There are plenty of people on this site that could benefit from your wisdom, so I hope that you begin to share your stories and advice here as well. Did you check out those government websites yet? Were they helpful? I hope you can get your group off the ground.
