I am New to SFV |
It's only 1:41 pm on a Sunday ( the so called day of rest, yeah right! ) and I feel exhausted. I just want to take a nap and relax but I'm constantly bombarded with "hey mom, mommy, momma, hey mommy!".
I'm lonely and feel like I have no friends. I'm jobless and carless and stuck in the house on a regular basis except when family members help with rides or I take the bus. But taking a 3 and 5 year old on a bus are not good ideas to do alone. Even with another adult it isn't always a good idea. Not that I have another adult to bring along. Well I dont want to go on about nothing. . . I'm just trying to adjust to life back at home with my kids ( I got home a week ago after being gone for a month. but that story is in the dealing with depression forum if you want to read that. ) I need to find friends or support groups or other single parents to talk to. I need to make this little family we have keep working. I always say as long as we have food and shelter we'll make it through and that's true. But it doesn't help feeling down about the circumstance. I am strong and I'll get through this. I just need to keep reaching out and staying connected. Isolation has always been a problem for me and it's easy to do when you're busy all day with your children and then just trying to relax at night and get to bed so you can wake up and do it all over again the next day. Well I'll stop here. I'm new to the boards. If anyone wants to chat or is in a similar situation or knows these feelings all too well . . .my AIM name is SilverSadie292. I usually am online but not often at the computer so just leave me a hello and Ill get back to you. Thanx for listening. Sadie |

"Not your average Jane" Setting New Standards |
Hi sadiemae,
First of all, welcome to SFV. This is a great place of companionship, support, and love. I've gotten a lot from this site, and I've only been here for about 8 months. I did have a chance to read your other post, and I just have to say how much I admire the strenght it must have taken you to get the help you need and to return to your role as mom for your kids. You're noticing the transition is hard. I can understand. The best thing for those kids is a mom who is taking care of herself, so my advice to you is to continue to do what you need to stay healthy as a part of your program. Allow yourself to do things that you enjoy, like bubble baths. And continue to reach out for support in your real life and here online for others who you can connect with. So I'll expect to see you around here more often! Welcome! |
